Reginald Ray is the author of five books and one of the most innovative and experienced teachers in the West, drawing on 38 years of study within the Tibetan tradition as well as from Zen and Theravadin Buddhism, Qigong, and indigenous cultures in Africa and the Americas. He teaches within the Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche meditation lineage at Naropa University. Ray is the author of the book Touching Enlightenment and the Sounds True audio program Buddhist Tantra.

Your Breathing Body: Volume 2 by Reginald Ray is a Sounds True Audio Learning Program of ten CDs with more than ten hours of guided practices for the seasoned meditator. In the West, we are dismembered, and this can be seen in the many ways we use, misuse, and exploit our bodies. Part of the problem is that we also are disconnected from our emotions and unable to experience them with openness, trust, or confidence. The somatic practices of Buddhist meditation, Ray says, can help us reclaim our bodies. He presents guided practices on earth breathing, 12-fold belly breathing, cellular breathing, exploring the practice of shamatha, dissolving with the outbreath, skull breathing, exploring the chakras, and the eight gates to emptiness.

Other topics examined on this program are the Four Noble Truths, the magic of fully exploring our emotions, redeeming the ordinary, stripping away the overlay of expectations to reveal the sacred world, leaving behind the ego's need to be in control, the spiritual opportunity that exists where you don't have much to lose, deepening your practice, and trusting in the unfolding process.
