Neil Douglas-Klotz is an independent scholar of religious studies, spirituality, and psychology. Here he presents an overview of the Aramaic mindset of Jesus as a Middle Easterner who was very connected to the body, to nature, and to the cosmos. Douglas-Klotz presents eight keys to Jesus' teachings.
Several of these interpretations have to do with linchpin concepts in The Hidden Gospel such as goodness means ripeness; love means giving birth to a new self; eternal life means embodied, renewable energy, here and now; and peace means the fullness of potential. Douglas-Klotz also includes in his assessment of the wisdom teachings of Jesus a series of meditations, chants, and breathing awareness practices based on Middle Eastern spiritual tradition.
