Judith Orloff is a psychiatrist in private practice and an assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at UCLA. She is the author of many books including Emotional Freedom, which is also available in an abbreviated audio version Emotional Freedom Practices.

One of the very daunting challenges of life is to find ways to liberate ourselves from negative emotions and, in so doing, to transform our lives. This handy toolkit, which includes 50 cards, focuses on seven negative emotions and how they can be transformed: fear into courage, frustration into patience, loneliness into connection, anxiety into inner calm, depression into hope, jealousy into self-esteem, and anger into compassion.

Orloff includes a quiz to take on each emotion along with a biological look, spiritual lessons, energy tools, psychological exercises, and a final inspirational meditation. This rounded approach really works well with the cards. We recommend this toolkit for anyone interested in journeying on the path of emotional freedom.
