Buddhists point out that we should be very tolerant of all strangers for they may at one time or another have been our father, mother, sibling, or lover. Reincarnation helps clarify why certain people are very rich even though they seem to be totally selfish and indifferent to the needs of others. The answer is that in a previous lifetime they were extremely good people and have been rewarded this time around.

These thoughts formed a back story for reading this paperback by Barbara Martin, an expert on the aura and the human energy field, and Dimitri Moraitis, cofounder with Martin and executive director of the Spiritual Arts Institute. Early in the book, the authors state:

"Reincarnation teaches us that life is not to be evaded but to be lived. As we get more into knowing how to live that life, our lives become exciting and fulfilling, because we see life from the whole and not the part. Reincarnation is the bigger story of who and what we are. It teaches that we always have a second chance at life. No soul is ever totally lost. We are always given as many chances as we need to succeed in our goal of spiritual mastery."

Martin and Moraitis explain the process of reincarnation, the importance of fulfilling your life's purpose, and your spiritual evolution. They move on to the dynamics of karma and free will as they are worked out in money, relationships, career, the body, nature, and spirituality. A most interesting chapter covers our collective karma in nations and world events. The last section of the book delivers four keys to effectively deal with karma, auras, and the healing power of forgiveness, compassion, and grace.
