Fox follows a mouse into a library with nothing on his mind except eating her. She lets him know that this place isn't a forest but a library where there are books to read and borrow. The mouse gives the Fox a book to read and it sets him off on a reading spree as he learns about chickens and cooking. Soon there's no stopping this creature's love of books which turns his life around and re-arranges his priorities.

Lorenz Pauli and Kathrin Scharer have written this humorous children's picture book that celebrates the library as a sacred space where miracles take place. This is an ideal work for boys and girls from ages 4 through 8 years. Anyone who treasures books and reading will savor the madcap passion that animates Fox once he experiences the joy of reading.
