This picture book, with its brief text and beautiful illustrations by Elisabeth Zartl, is a good way to introduce children to the idea of panentheism — that everything is in God and God is in everything.

A little girl is playing hide-and-seek. She asks, “Where are you hiding, God?” She looks in her room, in the bathroom, in the garden, and under a tree. When the wind blows a leaf onto her, she realizes that God is in the wind and in the leaf. Soon she finds God in the bathtub water and wash cloth. And in her room, looking in a mirror, she decides: “You are here, and you are always inside me.”
