Rebbe Nachman of Breslov (1772-1810) was the great grandson of the Baal Shem Tov, the founder of Hasidism. As a teacher, guide, and spiritual master, his words still provide inspiration for us today. This cassette contains some of his teaching fables presented to entertain and edify listeners. The author, who's an internationally known rabbi, points out how Rebbe Nachman turned to stories as a way of exploring the spiritual journey and illuminating prayer, redemption, faith, and the yearning for God. There are deep mystical meanings in these tales — "The Lost Princess," "The Clever One and the Simpleton," "The Rabbi and His Son," and "The Fixer." Zeller brings a special flavor to these imaginative stories by singing the Hasidic folk melodies that accompanied them when they were first told.
