Charlotte Joko Beck is founder of the Zen Center in San Diego, which she ran for more than two decades. Two years ago, she set up the Zen Center of Prescott, Arizona. where she currently resides and teaches. She is the author of Everyday Zen: Love and Work and Nothing Special: Living Zen. This audio presentation of three CDs running three hours brings together a half-century of her Zen teachings. It is her first audio course.

"We enter a discipline like Zen practice," Beck says, "so that we can learn to live in a sane way. Ultimately the result of Zen practice is working better in the office, raising our kids better, and having better relationships." The point is to do everything whole-heartedly and that is all that needs to be done. Practice is much more than sitting on a cushion; it is refined in the ways we relate to others, do our work, and find our way through the challenges of everyday life.

Here are some of the topics covered on this engaging audio course:

• Dealing with false and true emotion
• How to make the most of your radiant life energy

• Life as beautiful and fierce
