Most of us have a small circle of friends who know us intimately and can be trusted to keep our secrets and share our adventures. In this appealing children's picture book by Mary Lundquist, Cat and Bunny are inseparable. They were born on the same day of the same month in the same year. Two is enough for them as they daydream, ride bikes, and camp out.

But then one day while there were playing their Made-Up Game, which only they knew the rules to, Quail asked to join them. Cat wasn't sure but Bunny said "Yes, of course!" Soon other children joined them. Feeling upset by this drastic change, Cat ran away, but Bunny didn't notice. But then she found a new friend and they made up a new game.

This is Mary Lundquist's first children's picture book, and it is a gem. The theme of expanding one's circle of friends through the spiritual practice of hospitality is well suited for children ages 4 through 8 years of age.
