Love's Universe
A seven-week course on Rumi's teaching on the purpose of human life -- to know and love the Divine. Seven themes are introduced and illustrated with a personal experience by friends who have been on Rumi's path for many years: Taking responsibility; Forbearance; Single-minded Remembrance, Adab - Character and Courtesy; Devotion, Transformation, and Unity. Daily poems by Rumi convey the essence of this teaching. Participants have access to an online Practice Circle to discuss the poems and the themes with the retreat leaders and each other. |

Living the Hours
A six-week Online Retreat on the monastic practice of punctuating each day with eight points of prayers, known as the Hours. Participants receive three emails a week showing how this ancient Christian practice can be universalized for people of all traditions and provide a meaningful way of life in our fast-paced world. Through an online Practice Circle, participants will share prayers, poems, photos, and art to create their own Book of Hours. |

Practicing Spirituality with Thich Nhat Hanh
A 40-day email course, running from Nov. 9 - Dec. 18, 2009, based on the writings of the world renowned writer, scholar, poet, peace activist, and Buddhist monk. Each daily email includes a brief quotation from one of his books and a practice suggestion developed from his teaching. This spiritual master is known for his many meditation and mindfulness practices which help people "be peace" in our communities and the world. |
