Dialogue Across the Divide
My focus is to help people hear each other. I know that so may of the solutions to our problems are right in front of us all. We just need to make connections among people, their ideas, and their passions.

I'd love to team up with other people dedicated to the same purpose, maybe just for brainstorming, maybe for doing more. I think that if we are interested in discussing this more, the folks at Spirituality and Practice might connect us through an exchange of email addresses.

Isabel,

If we talk about service for the purpose of getting acknowledgement, that is selfish. However, if we can talk about service in a way that encourages more service, it would be selfish to stay silent. We live in a world in which it's easy to let our imaginations get flabby. If talking of your service inspires people to imagine new possibilities and to act, then I think talk is very important. So many people don't serve more because they can't fully imagine what they have to offer.
