Who Are the E-Course Teachers?FAQ for the Practicing Spirituality E-CoursesBy Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat Two kinds of programs are offered at Spirituality & Practice: (1) Practicing Spirituality E-Courses and 21-Day Programs and (2) Online Retreats. Practicing Spirituality E-Courses and 21-Day Programs
Most of the teachers are contemporary writers whose books have been published in the last 15 years. They may be spiritual and religion writers, but they could also be poets, novelists, nature writers, and essayists. To make it easy for you to further explore the work of a teacher, we include links to our reviews in the emails. You can also search by author name in the Reviews Database or use the "See all resources by . . . " links in the right sidebars of review pages to find other books by the same teacher and any pages devoted to them in the Living Spiritual Teachers Project. Many reviews also have links to excerpts from the books. Our intention is to introduce you to inspiring teachers who are key leaders in the spiritual renaissance of our time. Unless a course is specifically focused on one religious tradition, the teachers will represent many of the world's religions. That is another purpose of the courses: to demonstrate that spirituality and practice are two areas where the traditions come together. Online Retreats These programs are co-created and co-led by Spirituality & Practice and another religious or spiritual organization. In most cases, the course content is provided by our partner and include some audio and video components as we;; as emails. Spirituality & Practice hosts the course and the Practice Circle. We have worked with Contemplative Outreach, the Threshold Society, Benetvision, and Gratefulness.org, and other collaborations are in the planning stages. The retreat descriptions include more information on each organization. Return to E-Courses Homepage. |
