Husbands and Wives
Directed by Woody Allen
Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment 09/92 DVD/VHS Feature Film
R - language, a scene of sexuality

Woody Allen takes a witty look at the crises which strain long-term relationships.

Two middle-aged couples (Allen and Mia Farrow, Sydney Pollack and Judy Davis) try to weather the tempest-tossed storms brought on by lack of trust, faulty communication, erotic fantasies, sexual infidelity, and mutual resentments. One couple survives their civil war while the other doesn't.

This emotionally rich film exposes the ways the soul of a marriage can be sustained or shattered by change and conflict.
