In Gospel According to Vic, a boy attending a Catholic school in Glascow wonders why no miracles have happened to him. Then at the train depot, he gets caught up in the press of the crowd surging forward to meet someone. He stoops down to pick up a bouquet of flowers and turns around to have the most famous member of the Royal Family receive him. Grace abounds when we least expect it to do so.
