This rambunctious drama revolves around a pregnant unmarried woman's journey of self-discovery.

Geena Davis stars as a feisty Italian American office-worker from Brooklyn who ditches her fiance (James Gandolfini) for a fling with a smooth uptown lawyer (Stephen Rea). Angie, you see, is breaking barriers to see where she belongs. Director Martha Coolidge (Rambling Rose) is interested in the ways women express their sexuality and the paths they take to solidify their identity. Before she can assume responsibility for bringing up her newborn son, Angie must visit the mother who abandoned her when she was just a child. In addition to exploring these serious themes, Angie boasts an uproarious labor scene.
