Last Summer in the Hamptons is a comedy tailor made for bohemians who enjoy the eccentricities, the flamboyance, and the banter of artistic souls.

Viveca Lindfors plays the matriarch of a three-generation family of people involved in the theater. Each summer the clan gathers to rehearse and present a play. On their last weekend, Oona (Victoria Foyt), a Hollywood star who wants to become a more serious actress, arrives. In order to get what she wants, this flatterer skillfully manipulates a director (Andre Gregory), a gay playwright (Jon Robin Baitz), and others.

Writer and director Henry Jaglom conveys his enjoyment of these extroverts and the games they play. Last Summer in the Hamptons is one long party.
