Fluke is an oddball movie based on a novel by James Herbert and directed by Carlo Carlei. After Thomas Johnson (Matthew Modine) dies in a car crash caused by his business partner (Eric Stolz), his soul migrates into a dog.
As Fluke, he's quite a lover of freedom — leading dogs out of a pound and then out of a cosmetics laboratory where they were being used in horrible tests. Although he has a fine time with Rumbo, a street-smart canine, Fluke eventually finds his way to the family he left behind — his wife (Nancy Travis) and son (Max Pomeranc). This film has some interesting points to make about animals and about living in the present moment.
