• Have a make-over. Better still, make it possible for others, perhaps some of the residents of a local nursing home, to have make-overs. First, think about what would make you feel more beautiful: a haircut, a manicure, different make-up, a new outfit?
  • Beautify your home. Start by clearing out any clutter and things you are not using. Affirm your commitment to simplify your life by giving away or discarding at least one excess possession. Then choose one area to give special attention. Perhaps you will clean and polish the wood furnishings or scrub all the tiles. As you are working, admire the textures, colors, and structure of each item.
  • Organize a community beautification project for a local park, school yard, street, or highway. Pick up litter, trim the grasses and bushes, plant flowers, or arrange rock gardens.
