If you want to know what your character defects are look at the people you dislike.

To Practice This Thought:
Think of someone whose behavior annoys or bothers you. In your journal, describe in detail their behavior and how you feel around them. Then change the words so that the description is all about you. (For instance, "I really don't like it when Mike snaps impatiently at people" becomes "I really don't like it when I snap impatiently at myself.") See if there's a grain of truth in the second description.
