Behind every true soul friend is the one and ever-present soul friend, the Divine Spirit. It is good to get in the habit of seeing the friendship of God working through our closest friends. Collect photographs of one or two of your best friends, and with a yellow marking pen, trace an outline around their bodies or just their heads, similar to a halo. Put the photographs where you will see them, and let the yellow aura around them remind you that it is the friendship of God that comes to you through these friends. Be aware of this as much as you can when you are physically with them.
