Learn your own work rhythm. There are an infinite number of ways to work. It's important to figure out the best way for you and to work that way. If you do, you will undoubtedly find yourself more productive and happier. You will have more love in your life because you will feel connected to your principle activity, which is your work or creative self-expression.

One way to understand your work rhythm is to try different ones. Are you a self-starter? Do you like to work independently? You might want to think about being in business for yourself, becoming an entrepreneur, or being a salesperson who may work for someone else but is on the road most of the time and makes his or her own schedule.

Do you like to work around other people? Then think about working for a large company, one with many branches or divisions, one that employs a multitude of different people in various capacities, many of whom you can get to know over a period of time.

Do you like repetition? Do you have an aversion to surprises in your work and prefer to know exactly what you're doing from one day to the next? Then think about a job like inputting data or being a telephone operator or handling sales for a mail-order company. Even though the information changes from call to call or entry to entry, what you do everyday is basically the same, and you can comfortably settle into a routine and free yourself up for other things at other times.

There is a job or work situation for every different kind of person or personality. There are helping professions, careers that involve money, jobs that require you to be outdoors or to get dressed up every day. You can be around animals, plants, or rocks. You can work near the ocean, in the mountains, or on the fifty-second floor of a skyscraper. But first you have to figure out who you are, what you gravitate toward, what kinds of activities and situations "work" for you.
