Traditionally, Christians end their prayers by using the name of Jesus: "We ask you this in the name of Jesus, our Lord, who lives and rules with you. . . ." Consider incorporating this ancient tradition into your prayer awareness of your intimate relationship with God by ending your prayers: "I ask this of you in the name of Jesus, my brother and your beloved son, and in my name, __________, also your beloved child."

Among the first fruits of addressing God in this manner is the cultivation of a wondrous sense of intimacy with your beloved God, from which flows an abiding sense of trust and security.
