GREAT MOTHER AND FATHER OF ALL, we praise you for the people who saw the need for an International Day of Women and had the influence to establish it. Just as all of nature awakens in the spring and turns the bleakness of winter into an artist’s dream, help all women to flourish wherever they are. We especially lift up those are paying the price for challenging harsh political or religious conditions. Comfort and empower them to do what they must. We join with our sisters throughout the world in praying that together we can turn oppressive, demoralizing situations into joyful, life-giving ones. Guide and bless our efforts to support them. For it is in the name of the Messiah who was born of a woman we pray. Amen.
