Make a conscious effort to slow down for fifteen to twenty minutes at least once a day, even if you need to schedule this time into your day planner. Use the time to cultivate a positive and enduring memory. This might mean taking a mindful walk, giving your body a rest, meditating, seeking out nature's beauty, savoring food, or enjoying a new locale. Use slow-down time to steep yourself in whatever experience you are having — washing the dishes, clearing the clutter, taking a shower. Engage in whatever experience you are having with a sense of ease and full awareness.
