Where my hope really lies became the question. Is it in the power of the world to save itself, to reform itself, and even to transform itself, is it in our power to affect, influence, and change the world? Or is it in the spiritual power to bring healing and justice to our lives and to this earth? To just hope in the results of our work and strategies is to hope in ourselves and finally to hope in the power of this world. How do we find hope in the power beyond ourselves that empowers us to be and do far more than we can ever do on our own? That's a question for contemplation.
