The Creed does not talk about evil nor does it talk about guilt. It concentrates us only on the forgiveness of a Creator-God who, having made us, knows of what we are made. This God knows sincerity and values it over perfection. This God knows weakness and glories in bringing it to wholeness. This God does not make performance a criterion for love.
