The most extraordinary icon of God . . . is the human being. We become that which we contemplate. And that is why, during the celebration at the church, the priest sends incense upon the faithful as well as upon the icons! That is also why a relationship between two human beings is never banal and utilitarian: it is the place of a mysterious Visitation where something can begin to dance in the depths of the heart.
