In the Bhagavad Gita, a sacred text of Hinduism, we find these words: "Do your duty, always: but without attachment. This is how one reaches the ultimate truth; by working without anxiety about results." Letting go of our attachment to arrive, to succeed, to make a difference is difficult in any situation, but it is particularly difficult in the work for justice and peace. We believe God wants a just and peaceful world; we are committed to making it happen. . . . Jewish theologian Martin Buber said that success is not a name of God.
