Since most of us eat three meals each day, we have ample opportunity to practice a conscious or mindful form of eating. Sadly, in this era of fastfood restaurants, microwave snacks, and frozen entrees, many of us prepare and consume our food unconsciously: while driving, reading, watching TV . . . Our attention is everywhere except on the taste, appearance, smell, temperature, and texture of our meal.
