According to Reb Tzaddok, each of us has a particular passion or vulnerability, a personal blind spot that evokes a great deal of attachment and desire. This passion can create a blind spot in our lives that will prevent us from seeing life clearly. If we are not mindful of its influence on us, this passion can come to control us. If, however, we find a way to utilize this passion in service of the divine, we restore it to its source in holiness. When we do so, our passion finds its most uplifted expression and becomes a conduit through which we can channel divine blessing. In Reb Tzaddock's words: "Every person has a unique passion or desire and that very thing which evokes the greatest amount of attachment or desire is also a vessel for receiving God's blessing, if one returns to God with all of one's heart."
