Now we have a better appreciation of the statement in the Book of Genesis that the human being was created in the image of God. As God's representative, we are a human "re-presentation" of the Divine on earth. As such, our job is to contribute to the creation of ourselves, to improve this world, to rise to the challenges, to choose goodness and grow. This is what we can do on God's behalf, for God's sake.
