I remember an occasion when the Dalai Lama was being interviewed and the journalist asked him if he hated the Chinese. The Dalai Lama smiled that wonderful smile of his and said that the Chinese had already taken a great deal from the people of Tibet but if he hated the Chinese, then he would be letting them take is most prized possession, his own peace. Bitterness, rancor, greed, jealously — how many thieves there are out there who would rob of us peace.
