Hope is a theological virtue because it concerns our destiny in relation to the Divine. This deep, timeless intuition that, ultimately, all things will turn out well is one of our primary links with spirit. This is hope that dwells in its eternal home, sending its messages from the other shore, like a gentle herald of the sacred. Hope is the voice of God in the depths of our being. Its optimism is vigorous, its vision steady, and its horizon endless. It is hope, as a guiding virtue, that grants us perspective, extending our sight beyond doubt, uncertainty, and adversity.
