Lust is the vice among the seven capital sins that today usually means excessive, uncontrolled sexual craving. However, lust was once used in a positive sense for being vigorously, passionately excited about art or music or anything else. Converting lust means exercising and taming the selfish desires out of that life-energy, and changing it into a powerful tool for loving and caring for others, into a powerful tool for justice, and even into a tool for prayer and holiness.
