It is always a good idea to act as if we were entertaining angels — just in case. If we took just this one bit of the Rule to heart, we could transform the world. I confess, though, that while I manage fairly well a good deal of the time, I have not yet been able to receive telephone solicitors, especially the ones who call when I am up to my elbows in dinner preparation, as if they were Christ himself. But then, we are all works in progress.
