Drawing Your Shadow

Visualize your light with your mind's eye.
Imagine yourself touching your light, feeling it, and getting familiar with it.
Take a good look at it in your mind.
Perhaps imagine yourself touching it, imagining its texture and weight.
See your light emanate from inside of you, and feel it all around you.
In your light is a shadow.
Notice what the shadow looks like.
Let yourself look very closely at your shadow.
This shadow holds a picture or experience of yourself, a part of yourself.
What shape does it have?
What color, form, presence?
Let yourself get familiar with your shadow form.
Do you recognize this figure from a particular time in your life? Or a particular situation?
What kind of space does your shadow live in?
Is it inside of your body or outside of it?
Look around and really let yourself see it.
Now as you let yourself get familiar with this form, with this part of yourself, speak to it.
Ask your shadow form to tell you something about yourself that it wants you to know.
Ask it also to tell you why it's there.
And what it needs from you.
And what it wants from you.
Now very gently (don't be afraid, or if you are afraid, use your white light to help you with your fear) give the shadow the part of you that it wants.
Let yourself be very clear about what it wants and how you give it to your shadow.
See what your shadow does with this part of you.
Make a note of what you have observed.
Draw your shadow.
Draw yourself giving it what it wants.
