Each of us is an original, with a unique story, a signature dance, and a song that speaks to our soul alone. In his book The Human Cycle, Colin Turnbull, the British anthropologist, tells of the Mbuti tribe in Zaire in which a pregnant woman composes a song for her unborn child that will be sung by no other and for no other. She sings this song to the babe in her womb, to the newborn as it is placed on her breast, and forever after when the child needs comforting. In the Mbuti culture you are born with a song.
