Jonathan's sudden illumination of the orange as a hologram reminds one of Julian of Norwich, a 14th century mystic, who also was awed by a revelation when she held "something small, no bigger than a hazelnut, lying in the palm of (her) hand." Both of their visions of the infinite in something as small as an orange or hazelnut reveal how, as in every hologram, the part manifests the whole.
