In the spirit of Jonathan Livingston Seagull, the new age movement proclaims that transformation is possible for every person. United with the one reality, the divine mind present as our higher self, we can, to use the words of the apostle Paul, "do all things" (Philippians 4:13). Echoing Paul's letter to the Romans, the new age proclaims, "Be not conformed to the world" and its limitations of vision and possibility, but be "transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Romans 12:2).
