Marianne Williamson is an internationally acclaimed lecturer and bestselling author. She has published 10 books and is a popular guest on numerous television programs, including Oprah, Larry King Live, Good Morning America, andCharlie Rose. She has lectured professionally since 1983. In 1989, she founded Project Angel Food, a meals-on-wheels program for homebound people with AIDS in the Los Angeles area. Today, this project serves over 1000 people daily.

Williamson also co-founded the Global Renaissance Alliance (GRA), a worldwide network of peace activists. Its mission is to harness the power of nonviolence as a social force for good. She is active in sharing ideas and resources for Conscious Citizenship, including active lobbying for a cabinet-level Department of Peace. In 2019, she announced her campaign to seek the Democractic nomination for the 2020 U.S. presidential election.
