World Religions

The study of world religions is fascinating to many—from those that consider themselves very spiritually dialed in to others that have an appreciation for history or the arts. If you are interested in learning more about a specific religion, want general information about a variety of religions across the globe, or want to learn more about your own faith, let Spirituality and Practice provide the resources and tools you need in your quest for religious education.

There is a variety of ways you can go about exploring the site for information and insight on world religions. Consider the following:

  • If there is a specific religion you want to learn more about, Buddhism for example, you can simply type the term into the search box and see the results that appear. What you’ll see is a wide range of ways to learn more about Buddhism, from books and films that tap into the values of Buddhism to everyday ways to incorporate this philosophy into your life.
  • Want to learn from a leader? Try selecting Spiritual Teachers. This leads you to a page that features different religious and spiritual leaders from many different faiths. Read about the person and find more resources suggested by them.
  • Browse our online courses and consider registering for one or several for something a bit more formal.
  • Look into the S & P Community or read our blog. You can also find further reading and resources on Facebook and Twitter. Find others who share your faith or interests in other faiths. Find companionship on your journey.

Religious Education: Make it Personal

Many people across the globe spend a lot of time and money getting religious education at universities and other institutions. This is perfect for some, especially those who make a living or devote their lives to religion. But, for the vast majority of us, we just want a little everyday spirituality and forge our own path. However you visualize your spirituality, know that Spirituality and Practice is the resource you need along the way.
