This black comedy is directed by Patrick Brice with a screenplay by Sam Bain. It seeks to tap into the widespread enmity many middle-management workers feel toward their very rich and self-centered bosses.

Lucy (Demi Moore) is the CEO of a seemingly prosperous company that has come up with a handy product called edible cutlery. Unhappy with the efficiency of her top managers, she decides to take them on a team-building wilderness retreat. Despite the advice of their guide (Ed Helms), they take an "advanced route" into a cave.

Things go bad quickly. A cave-in kills the guide, and they discover there is no way out of the cavern they have found. Instead of working together on a survival plan, two of Lucy's top workers (Jessica Williams, Karan Soni) squabble over who is really her favorite. Other managers get depressed and one even contemplates suicide.

When they run out of food and water, they decide they will have to eat the flesh of the dead guide. From there to the end of Corporate Animals, the plot just gets more ludicrous and disgusting.
