Dead Tired stars Michel Blanc as a well-known French movie star whose life is turned upside down when a man who looks just like him decides to share a bit of the spotlight.

The phony Blanc goes to the Cannes Film Festival where he propositions actresses and acts like a cad. Luckily, the real Blanc's best friend is Carole Bouquet, a French actress whose beauty is matched by her detective skills. She helps him track down the impersonator.

This whimsical film, written and directed by Blanc, offers some clever comments on fame and the powerful influence of movie stars on the public. Several jokes at Gerard Depardieu's expense are quite amusing along with the surprising finale.
