Greedy is a comedy written by Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel (City Slickers) and directed by Jonathan Lynn (My Cousin Vinny). Kirk Douglas stars as a wheelchair-bound millionaire whose despicable relatives will do anything to win their uncle's favor. The only one who seems uninterested in the money is a professional bowler (Michael J. Fox) who is dating a highly principled woman (Nancy Travis). Then he, too, begins thinking that greed is good. Before its surprise ending, the film shows how the unrestrained pursuit of wealth makes people poor in spirit.
