Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.
To Practice This Thought:
Pick a regret from your past, an anxiety in the present, and a fear for the future. For each of them, find at least one thing for which to be grateful. If you regret having been bullied in the past, for instance, you might think, "I am grateful that I learned to stick up for myself."
