"When seen from a certain angle, the iridescent tail feathers of a peacock blaze with color and shimmer with beauty. Many other things in life reveal their qualities this way, but often familiarity makes their beauty difficult to see. Similarly, we may be unaware of others’ virtues unless we assay a range of viewpoints. Try to look at everything with fresh eyes, unclouded by habit: you may discover untold riches."
To Practice This Thought:
Set your intention in the morning to look at everything and everyone with fresh eyes. Consider how you can adjust the angle from which you are looking at everything and everyone to see the color and shimmer of their beauty. Remind yourself of this intention throughout your day. Take a few minutes at the end of the day to acknowledge any revelations.
