A spiritual practice can include what we might call a "body practice" — that is, some physical activity you do mindfully, prayerfully, and with the intention of celebrating your physical health and skills as gifts from God, Turn your sport or exercise activities into periods of spiritual deepening. Before you begin, say a prayer, offering your workout to the Divine Spirit. Be aware of your skill, strength, wins, and losses, and find in them spiritual teachings. Transform your physical energy into spiritual energy, and offer thanks for your body, your health, and the enjoyment you derive from athletic activities.
