Perfection is a human goal, although it is probably not attainable while we are called to live with the imperfections of this reality, this world, this life. Nevertheless, perfection exists in the eternal realms, and we long for it. Go outside on a clear starry night, some place where the lights of civilization do not dim the stars, and look up into the heavens. Allow yourself to be calmed and transformed by the beauty and majesty of the night sky, and recognize in it a kind of perfection, not totally unlike that which you seek or that which exists in the Creator of such a beautiful sky. Give thanks for such beauty.
