"When the Hopi Indians make important decisions, they ask to be guided by their ancestors and by the hopes and needs of the unborn. They consider the wisdom of the last seven generations and then the needs of seven more to come."
— Cindy Garfield and Sedona Cahill in Wisdom Circles

Take this approach with your position on a topic that is important to you. Consider how the last seven generations of your family/community might weigh in on the topic. Consider how the next seven might weigh in on your topic. Now do the same with the opposing stance. Then reflect on whether your original position has changed.
