This is a great way for people to get to know other traditions. Divide into groups of three and give each group a passage to study. Suggest that they read the passage out loud first and then consider the primary lesson or message of the passage. How would you apply it today? How have you heard it interpreted? How is it ignored? Come back together and ask each group or person to offer a reflection in light of the passages.

Possible passages to use:
Genesis 47:13-26 (land use and economics)
Exodus 4:1-31 (reluctant leadership)
Leviticus 25:1-17 (jubilee and redistribution of wealth)
Matthew 5:38-48 (love your neighbor and your enemies)
Luke 10:29-37 (the good Samaritan)
Bhagavad Gita 3:8-10 (selfless service)
Tao Te Ching 29, 30, 31 (improving the world, governing, peace)
